Saying that Spencer is an expert when it comes to computer engineering is an understatement. Writing his first lines of code at the ripe age of eleven years old, he always knew that he was going to make the computer business his career. He is excited to lend his passions to the novi AMS team and deliver his technical expertise to the client community.

Graduating from Oklahoma Christian University in 2009 with a degree in Computer Information Systems, Spencer had already set foot into the professional realm long before being handed his diploma. At the age of fifteen, he began an online community website for Microsoft’s Tablet PC.  The site grew to over 20,000 members and garnered almost 2 million page views a month by the time he was able to sell it in college. This feat allowed Spencer the chance to travel to Microsoft’s campus to work directly with the product teams. After college he moved on to a position with Chesapeake Energy, the second largest producer of natural gas in the United States. A few years later he followed Chesapeake’s founder & CEO to a new company, where Spencer wrote software that focused on accounting, human resources, & other business processes,  gaining knowledge that directly relates to his current role at novi AMS.

Spencer enjoys helping people and says that his goal when writing software is that it will make people’s lives and their jobs easier. He is completely fulfilled when he gets to interact with a customer and can hear them explain how his software helped them save so much time or money.

If Billy Joel is in Spencer’s hometown of Oklahoma City, you had better believe that Spencer will be there, tickets in hand. In his spare time he loves to travel with his wife Vanessa, especially to far-away destinations like Japan & Europe. He’s dabbled in community theatre, enjoys the hobby of photography, attending any sort of musical performance, and cheering on his Oklahoma City Thunder and St. Louis Cardinals. He also shares the same Disney obsession as a majority of the novi AMS team, which helped him gain instant credibility among the staff when he inserted “hidden Mickeys” into his trial project.
