Novi AMS includes a full website and content management system (CMS) built directly into its association management software. Member logins, event calendars, directories and members-only content are all tied to the member database, so they update automatically as records change. Associations manage their website and their members in one platform instead of keeping two systems in sync.

An association website platform should let staff control each page's search details, keep old links working after a move and tell search engines when pages change. Novi AMS includes these search engine optimization (SEO) tools on every association website:

  • Redirects send visitors and search engines from old URLs to the matching new pages.
  • Every page has settings for its page title and meta description, so staff can keep the search details that already work.
  • Every page has a friendly URL setting that keeps its address short and readable.
  • Staff can ask Google to recrawl updated pages, so changes appear in search results sooner.
  • Public member directory listings and event pages each get their own web address, so they can appear in search results on their own.

The simplest approach is to tie page access to each person's membership record, so access updates automatically instead of being managed by hand. Novi AMS lets associations restrict pages, articles and events to members, specific member types, committees or the board of directors. Because access follows the membership record, it changes automatically when someone joins, lapses or rotates off a committee, with no separate passwords or lists to maintain. A member who follows a link to protected content is asked to log in and is then taken straight to that page.

With Novi AMS, website design is included in standard onboarding. The Novi team styles a white-labeled website to match the association's brand identity and moves priority pages from the old website, so there is no separate design project to budget for. After launch, staff keep content current with the built-in editor, which has enough formatting options to achieve the look they want without a designer.

Associations can keep a WordPress or other public website and use Novi AMS for member logins, Member Compass, event registration and online payments, often on a subdomain such as members.yourassociation.org. Many associations instead run their entire website on Novi, so directories, events and member content update automatically. The Novi team helps each association choose the approach that fits its needs.
