Associations generate non-dues revenue by selling sponsorships, featured directory listings, advertising, education materials, certifications, subscriptions and event extras. Novi AMS supports each of these through its built-in online store, membership and event add-ons, and directory listings, and it records every sale in QuickBooks Online. Because purchases connect to member records, staff can see who buys and offer the right products to the right members. Novi customers also trade proven non-dues revenue ideas with each other through Novi Exchange, the online customer community, along with Novi Roundtables and the annual Novi Summit.

The simplest way is to use the store built into the association's AMS, so products, members and accounting stay connected without a separate ecommerce platform. Novi AMS includes a full online store where associations sell physical and digital products, services, sponsorships and subscriptions. Staff can create products in Novi or import existing ones from QuickBooks Online, control who may buy each product, customize confirmation emails, manage recurring subscriptions and track fulfillment. Each product maps to its own QuickBooks Online item, so associations can report sales by product.

Associations raise more contributions by asking at the moments members are already paying, such as membership signup, renewal and event registration. Novi AMS lets associations invite foundation donations and political action committee (PAC) contributions at each of those points. For foundations, associations can also add an optional donation to renewal invoices that members may remove, which makes giving the default. Funds collected on behalf of a related foundation can be tracked in QuickBooks Online as amounts owed to that organization. PAC contributions carry legal restrictions on how they are collected, so associations should confirm their setup with their accountant or legal counsel.

Associations sell more online by following up with members who start an order but don't finish it, and by giving members a reason to buy now. Novi AMS can send an automatic reminder email to logged-in members who add products to their cart but don't check out. Staff choose whether the reminder goes out after 1, 6, 10 or 24 hours and personalize it with the member's name and a direct checkout link, and Novi never sends it to members who have opted out of marketing emails. Associations can also create promo codes for limited-time offers, with limits on who can use them and tracking for each code.

Novi AMS lets associations set eligibility rules on each product by membership status, member type or group, so only the right members can see and buy it. For example, a sponsorship can be offered only to supplier members, or a course only to certificate holders who are due for recertification. The same product can also show member and non-member prices. Members see the products and prices they qualify for automatically after they log in, without separate stores or discount codes.
