You don't have to be a data scientist. You just have to ask.
Have a conversation with your data.
Novi Navigator™ is the AI assistant built natively into Novi AMS. Ask a question in plain English and get trusted answers from your live association data, without building reports, querying databases, or waiting on a colleague. The answer shouldn't depend on who knows how to build the report.
Ask about your members, events, finances, or history.

Ask Naturally
Ask questions the way you'd ask a colleague. No report builder. No SQL. No technical knowledge required.
Connect Your Data
Membership. Finance. Events. Operations. One question can bring them together.
Understand Why
Navigator doesn't just retrieve information. It explains what it found, helping your team understand the answer, not just read it.
The answer is already in your data.
Getting to it shouldn't take hours.
Today, answering a simple question often means: building a report, exporting a spreadsheet, combining data from multiple systems, or waiting for someone else to find the answer.
Navigator removes that friction. Ask the question the way you'd ask a coworker, and get an answer built from the same records your team already relies on.
Better decisions shouldn't start with better spreadsheets.

I can't believe how much time this saved me. What would have been a full day of pulling and piecing together reports was done in minutes. This is changing the way I work.”
Built by People Who Know Associations
Built by a team that includes more than 20 Certified Association Executives and other association professionals, Navigator combines world-class AI with the association knowledge general AI simply doesn't have.
The result feels less like searching the internet, and more like asking a colleague who already understands your organization.
- General AI is remarkably capable.
- It just wasn't built for associations.
- It doesn't know what member types mean.
- It doesn't understand renewal cycles.
- It doesn't recognize why committee participation matters.
- Navigator closes that gap.
Frequently asked questions about Novi Navigator.
Novi AMS lets staff ask questions about their data in plain English through Novi Navigator, an AI assistant built into the platform. Instead of using a report builder, writing SQL or exporting spreadsheets, staff ask the way they would ask a colleague and get an answer from the association's live data. This approach, often called natural language reporting, lets one question draw on membership, event and financial records together. Navigator was built by a team that includes more than 20 Certified Association Executives (CAEs), so it understands association concepts such as member types, renewal cycles and committee service.
Associations without a data analyst can get instant answers from an AI assistant built into their AMS, so any staff member can explore the data, not just the person who knows how to build reports. In Novi AMS, staff click Ask Navigator at the top of the admin and ask Novi Navigator which event had the highest no-show rate, how registrations differed between members and non-members, or how many unique members served on a committee last year for tax reporting. Follow-up questions let staff drill deeper in the same conversation. One Novi customer said Navigator lets them simply ask the question instead of running and combining multiple reports.
The main difference is the data: ChatGPT on its own only sees the member data staff upload to it, while an AI assistant built into an AMS works from the association's live records. Exports go stale as soon as they are downloaded, and they carry none of the association's context. In Novi AMS, Novi Navigator answers from current Novi data and knows what general AI doesn't, such as what member types mean, how renewal cycles work and why committee participation matters. It can also filter lists and open the right page in Novi. Associations that prefer ChatGPT or Claude can connect them to live Novi data through Novi Connect.
An association can judge AI answers by checking three things: whether the assistant uses only the association's own records, whether it explains how it reached the answer and whether critical numbers match the source data. In Novi AMS, Novi Navigator cannot pull from outside sources, explains what it found and flags when the data needed to answer a question isn't available rather than guessing. Like any AI, it can misread a question or return an incomplete answer, so Novi recommends being specific, asking multi-part questions one part at a time and verifying critical numbers before sharing them. Staff can flag any answer through the feedback feature, which Novi uses to improve Navigator.
Associations keep member data secure with AI by limiting the assistant to their own records, giving it read-only access and letting it see only what each staff member is already allowed to see. In Novi AMS, Novi Navigator is opt-in: an administrator turns it on in Amplify Settings, and only association admins can use it. Every query is limited to the association's own data, and Navigator refuses requests about any other association. It cannot create, change or delete records, and it respects each user's existing admin permissions. Conversation histories are private to the user who created them.
That was Ask. There are three more.
